The City of Tarkio, a 4th Class City, is seeking a full-time City Clerk. Duties include but are not limited to: attending meetings and recording the minutes of the Board of Aldermen, administer oaths, public records requests, oversee bid openings, prepare legal notices and record legal documents with the County Recorder, execute and archive City ordinances, agreements, resolutions and minutes of the Board of Aldermen, administer municipal elections, human resources, safety coordinator for all departments, prepare and administer City budgets, process and maintain the accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, purchasing, and all general receipts, ensure that policies, procedures and transactions comply with the Board of Aldermen directives and governmental accounting standards and administer all financial operations of the City. High school graduate or GED required. Notary Public, experience in accounting, business, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office duties preferred.
